Next week (8/15) we will have an evening meeting at the library. Our member Carol Tangorra will speak to us about Real Estate in Nutley.
CAP Fundraising Program at Blue Foundry Bank:
Our member Joanne Salvio and her colleague Jeanmarie came to last week's meeting to talk to us about the name change from Boiling Springs as well as the CAP program.
We encourage all members to go to Blue Foundry Bank and open a checking or savings account because we have less than the 20 accounts required for a monthly donation.
If you don't currently have a savings or checking account there, please open one. Nutley Rotary thanks you!
Would anyone else like to join us in our annual trip to Camp Merry Heart? Meet other Rotarians, the amazing administrators and counselors and experience the wonderful work being done for others.
You can even stay for the barbecue at the end - always a nice time!
And there is still time to let Dorothy know if you would like to come to Point Pleasant with the exchange students from Japan, and have fun while getting a glimpse of Rotary's outreach in the world.
Please come and show your support for these great events!
YOUR ROTARY STORY:
Each week at our meeting, I would like one member to take a few minutes to introduce themselves to the club. Tell us who you are, what you do and why you joined Rotary or share a Rotary story.
Please reply to this email or email me directly to let me know when you would like to share.
SERVICE HOURS: Rotary International would like us to document the hours we spend on service to others, so please start keeping track, as of July 1, 2019, of your community service hours.
In August we have two very easy and fun FREEopportunities for you! As you may know, our District 7475 sends students to Japan and also hosts students from Japan in the summer, and we have the opportunity to join our Japanese visitors for a trip to Point Pleasant. It's pretty easy, the bus takes us and brings us home and our club pays for beach chairs, umbrellas and food. Mark your calendar for August 8th and reply to this email if you are interested!
The other opportunity is to visit Camp Merry Heart, on August 7, and enjoy the day with the campers and counselors, other Rotarians and a nice barbecued dinner.
Our Club donates a DJ to the event - and every summer we offer a campership to a Nutley resident. It's always a fun time!
ALSO, Please be sure to reply to John Monaco about volunteering to visit area car shows to spread the work about ours. He can fill you in on the details, time etc.
