Thank you to Debbie and Sal Rosamilia and Bob and Sue Peters for donating to our Nutley Rotary NFSB Food Drive and taking photos! So needed when the pantry shelves are bare.
Our Food Drive is growing! We are partnering with Steve Gregorio, a former Nutleyite and current NHS football coach and teacher, and strong supporter of community service.
Thanks to Steve, who in addition to spreading the word in his network, suggested we add an in-person food drop off on Saturday, August 29 from 9-1, while still holding our "virtual" food drive for the month of August. He will recruit football players to help carry out this event. More info will follow.
Remember, the money you would have spent on lunch can go towards this and other initiatives that will help the community especially at this difficult time.
Thanks also to Tom, Jane and John, Barbara, Bob and Sue and JoAnn Scarpelli for supporting our Safe House household drive. Our donations were gratefully received.
On Thursday August 27, at 7PM, our Membership Chairperson, Danny Carnicella will hold his first Membership Committee meeting. Members include Danny, Linda, Joe, JoAnn Scarpelli and me.
If you are interested in joining the Membership Committee please let me know.

Statement from Rotary International
At Rotary, we have no tolerance for racism. Promoting respect, celebrating diversity, demanding ethical leadership, and working tirelessly to advance peace are central tenets of our work.
We have more work to do to create more just, open and welcoming communities for all people.
We know there are no easy fixes and that challenging conversations and work lie before all of us. Rotary’s strength has long been our ability and commitment to bringing people together. We will tap into that strength now as we stand with those who are working for peace and justice.
Rotary will do our part to listen, learn and take action to ensure that we continue to contribute to making positive change.
